It’s a good thing for the Sweet Shoppe’s “From Our Blog to Yours” piece or I would never post here!  Seems like I go for days posting like crazy and then nothing for twice as many days!  Anyways, enough whining!

I can’t believe April is here!  I am not much of an April Fool’s type person so there probably will be little happening around here tomorrow.  Sadly my Mom goes home tomorrow after a week’s visit.  We’ve had a good visit.  There were many more things I wanted us to do but it rained most of the week so we didn’t get to do too many outdoor things.  April is going to be a busy and fun month!  With Easter, Fiesta, end of school year activities, it is going to be a little crazy around here.  But crazy is good and May represents the end of school and a full Summer with Aidan home - so there is much to look forward to.  Also, we have Birthday party planning!  Aidan’s 6th Birthday is in early May so we will be working on planning.  Thus far he hasn’t given me much in terms of what he would like to do.  Time to nail that boy down!  Hehe! 

 Aaaak!  I just realized that Easter is just next week!  Aaack!  We haven’t decorated eggs, gotten out our decorations or anything!  Guess we will be doing all of that tomorrow!  Fun!  Aidan really gets into decorating so this should be lots of fun.  I can’t get over how quickly time goes by these days!  Yikes!

 Lots of good things happening scrap and design wise this week.  I am completely tickled to be one of 6 new Designers at Scrapbook-Bytes.  Woooo hooooo!  Can’t wait to get connected and started.  Lots of fun design ideas in the works and I hope to open my store there sometime mid-April.    And, beginning tomorrow, I will be one of Agnes Lahur’s Guest Creative Team members for the month of April.  If you are not familiar with Agnes’ designs, go and check them out at The Digi Shoppe here.  She does beautiful work!  I can’t wait to show you my first layout with her designs!  Hopefully that will come tomorrow!    Yes, I am going to try to post again tomorrow!

I am so excited!  My DH is taking the kids today for the day and picking my Mom up at the airport at 4:30 so I have the full day to myself.  Yes some laundry and housework will be worked in there but it is mostly a day to scrap.  Yay!  I have a bunch of fantastic CT kits to work with and I am stoked to get started. 

I started my morning checking out all my CT teams forums etc to see what was going on.  And I found that Angela Barton had a great “From My Blog to Yours” post yesterday that I was compelled to do.  So here goes:

Amazon or brick and mortar? Both.  If it is something that I have heard of and know that I want, I often get it at Amazon.  However, I can’t resist going to the Bookstore and browsing, getting some coffee and letting the kids play with the trains or other things at the store.  Now that Aidan is in school, we have added the monthly Scholastic orders to our purchasing.  We are overrun with kids books!

Buy or Borrow? I’d like to say that I borrow more than I buy, but it is just not true.  Maybe this will inspire me to do better.
New or used? More likely new, but I’m not opposed to “used”.
Buying choice: book reviews, recommendation or browse? Recommendations and browsing
Tidy ending or cliffhanger? “Tidy ending, and leave no strings hanging. Everything must resolve nicely for me to be happy!” by Ange.  Same here!
Morning reading, afternoon reading or nighttime reading? I get to read for myself so rarely anymore but generally it is nighttime reading.
Stand-alone or series? Both but lean toward stand-alone.
Favorite series? Mitford series.
Favorite children’s book? Harry the Dirty Dog and Harry by the Sea.  I just love those books.
I didn’t finish all the anwers to the quiz because it is just too embarrassing how little I read.  When in college I used to look forward to the very end of the semester when everything was turned in because I had a ritual of a good book and a glass of wine (I finished college as an adult) immediately after the last paper or exam was done.  Now with the 3 kids, scrapping and the complete state of constant sleep deprivation I can rarely stay awake long enough to get engaged in a book now.  Sad but true.

Happy St. Patricks Day!  I had such a great day yesterday!  First of all, I finally finished up the yearbook for my son’s school (all 84 pages done and submitted)!  Woo hoo!  And as if that wasn’t exciting enough - I was asked to be on Stacie Prinzo’s CT!  Yay! I am so excited!  Stacie and I were on the CT at ScrapMommies way back when but since then she has become such a fabulous designer and is easily one of my faves!  So, it was a great thrill to be asked to be on her team!    Naturally, I had to get right to work!  Check out this layout I did with her Missa Prissa kit last night!

Yesterday was such an exciting day!  Traci Reed’s studio at ScrapBookGraphics opened yesterday!  I am so happy for Traci!  She is such a wonderful woman and incredible designer - I am so glad that she is finding the Digi Designer Fame that she deserves.  Here is a layout I did using her newest kit “Joyful”.

My 3 little nuts are all doing well - of course I shouldn’t say anything because the minute I do someone is going to hurt themselves or get sick, right?  And surprisingly, things have been rather boring of late.  Well except for last night when Aidan spilled 2 Quarts of lemonade all over the counter and floor.  Poor guy he was soooo upset.  He is just learning to pour himself a drink from one of the big containers and while I think “oh no, I’ll do it for you” he has to learn himself and he wants to soooo I’ve been letting him.  Well last night I wasn’t paying attention and he was having trouble, turned out that he turned the entire container over in an effort pour it and off came the lid and all the lemonade I just made.  He was so upset mostly because the “bo bo’s” (mini marshmellows - layout coming to explain that this weekend) were all wet and he was affraid they were ruined.  So instead of scrapping last night I got to spend some time cleaning the floor, counter and drawers and cabinets that it go into.  Kudos to DH who picked up where I left off and did a fantastic job with the entire floor and all the remaining stickiness.  (This is a much longer story than I thought).  So after all that effort, what happens?  DH, within in 10 minutes, spills a taco all over the floor.  Hehe!  Poor guy.

Okay so the title of this post is a little dramatic, but really…. 

1)  Why does the phone always ring when I am in the middle of changing a really stinky, messy diaper?

2)  What is it about being all dressed and seeing that Mommy is ready to leave that makes it time for a little one to make a stinky, messy diaper just before being put in the car seat.

3)  Why must you choose the moment after I throw a container full of way over due leftovers in the trash to tell me that you accidentally threw your socks in said trash can?

4)  And finally, why do they pick the morning after I have vaccuumed the floor and couch to spill their snack on the floor and think that stomping on it is fun?

Just a few of my morning ramblings!  There are so many other countless little mysteries like this one could never list them all.  LOL!  I truly believe that if I can’t laugh at things like this, then I need to up my Wellbutrin dose.  Hehe!!

 
Most of yesterday was spent doing all kinds of miscellaneous stuff but I did manage to get one layout done for the Scraplift Challenge at DigiScrapDivas.  Maria LaFrance and Stacy Carlson came out with a terrific new kit titled Refreshing which I used for this layout.   You can check out the kit here (it’s on sale now for just $4.55 so run over and grab it up) and the Scraplift challenge here too.

I am so excited at the progress I made setting up the blog yesterday.  Of course I didn’t get anything else done but I am at least proud of my progress thus far!  There are obviously still some clean up and set up to do but I think it is a pretty good start.  What do you think?  Do you like the new look?
